DMZ, Warzone 2’s fast-paced extraction mode, includes new enemy controlled areas that can be found throughout the map called a Stronghold. These zones contain great rewards that can give teams an advantage for those willing to accomplish the required objectives.

Because these areas are new additions to the game, finding the necessary key to access it can often be difficult. To make it easier for you, we’ve created this article to help you find the required key for these zones.

Where to Find Stronghold Keys in DMZ?

The quickest way to earn a Stronghold Key is by purchasing it from a Buy Station for $5000. Their locations will typically be marked on your map by a shopping cart icon. Keep in mind, though, that not all Buy Stations will have it so you may have to search for multiple ones throughout a DMZ run.

Another way of acquiring a Stronghold Key is by looting them from random enemy AI’s you encounter during a match. Much like the previous method, however, its drop rate from killing opponents is left entirely up to chance. This means that not every combatant you defeat will have the blue colored keycard that you’ll need.

Once you have earned the necessary keycard, you’ll be able to enter one of several Strongholds found throughout the match. You can find them easily by pulling up your map and locating the zones marked with large green castle icons.

You and your team will then need to clear out the enemies found within before you can earn the rewards stored inside. It’s important to keep in mind that opposing groups will also be able to enter the Stronghold at any point once it’s open.
