Last year’s surprise hit racing game Hot Wheels Unleashed will get a Monster Trucks expansion this April, developer Milestone has announced.
The expansion promises to take the famous dinky toy cars to a “monstrously large dimension” in the DLC. We’ll get five new vehicles, a themed Track Builder Module and new customisation items for the Basement and Player’s Profile. There’s also set to be a brand new environment for players to race in, in the form of the Stop Motion Studio.
This new arena includes four monster dioramas for you to use, each with a different theme. They include the Jungle, the Quarry, the Desert and the Ice Mountain. There’s not much to show at the moment, outside of the teaser trailer below, but there’ll be more info in the coming weeks.

There were also a bunch of new vehicles based on series like Street Fighter, TMNT and Barbie. Expect that to continue in the rest of Volume 2, with nine vehicles, three customisation packs and three track builder modules all promised.
The Hot Wheels Pass Volume 2 will be available from February 17. Meanwhile, the Hot Wheels Unleashed Monster Trucks Expansion will follow a couple of months later, on April 21.
