Developer Milestone has announced that die-cast racer Hot Wheels Unleashed has sold a million copies worldwide since launch.

The racing game came out in September, and has managed to reach the impressive figure across both physical and digital storefronts. In fact, the million sales milestone (no pun intended) means the game has become the team’s best-selling offering ever.

Andrew Chan, Head of Digital Gaming for Mattel, thanked fans for the success of the game in a statement. “Hot Wheels is all about encouraging the challenger spirit and Hot Wheels Unleashed brings that mission to life for gamers of all ages. We’re proud of this exciting milestone, and we look forward to even more fans discovering the game and new upcoming content as we head into 2022.”

Hot Wheels Unleashed fans are currently getting to enjoy the game’s wealth of post release content. These include tie-ins with properties like Street Fighter, DC, Barbie and Batman. More packs are set to follow in the coming months, with the game’s next major pass to drop in February followed by one more in June.

Hot Wheels Unleashed is available now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC.
