Sony’s Horizon: Zero Dawn got off to a monstrous start in the UK, becoming the biggest ever PS4 launch of a new IP, ahead of No Man’s Sky, reports ChartTrack.

Zero Dawn is also the biggest launch of 2017, and Sony’s biggest launch since Uncharted 4.

All this despite the launch of the Nintendo Switch and its launch software. Switch is reported to have sold approximately 80,000 units, with most of these users also picking up Breath of the Wild. Whilst 78 per cent of Zelda’s launch week came on Switch, Wii U copies accounted for 22 per cent. Zelda placed in second spot

1-2 Switch is new at No.4, with Super Bomberman R taking seventh. Skylanders Imaginators misses out on a Top 40 place, but Ubisoft’s Just Dance 2017 does re-enter at No.24 thanks to the Switch edition.

Oblivious to all that goes on around it, GTA 5 holds at No.3. Last week’s No.1, For Honor, does begin to feel the heat, dropping down to fifth.

The only other new entry is The Walking Dead: The New Frontier at No.19.

We could have all change again next week, with Ghost Recon: Wildlands and Nier: Automata arriving in stores. Ubisoft will be gunning for the top spot, whilst a top 5 place will likely please Nier publisher Square Enix.
