So to give you an idea of all the improvements that the developers have made, we’ll be listing down the latest batch of patch notes in its entirety below.
Horizon Forbidden West v1.21 patch notes
As mentioned before, this recent update from Guerrilla mainly adds several important accessibility features as well as support for Burning Shores to the base game. If you want to learn more about the specific updates, then here are the notes that the developers have provided:
- Introduced new accessibility features, including:
- Enlarging Subtitles
- Auto-Pickup
- Color Blindness settings
- Auto camera
- Navigation assist in Focus Mode
- Thalassophobia mode
- Additional accessibility features
- Support for Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores expansion has been added.
A large number of fans have already reacted positively to some of the changes listed above with the introduction of auto pick-up in particular being singled out by the community. One Reddit user has said that this is “a nice QOL change,” while another noted that this will be a nice addition after having experienced it in Luminous Productions’ open world creation, Forspoken.
Some, however, are asking Guerrilla to add more useful features, such as one-click ammo crafting at all Workbenches. With the developers being one of the more communicative and proactive groups in the industry, it wouldn’t be a surprise if this request eventually makes its way into the game in the future.
