The war against the Illuminate invading Super Earth has been raging on since the Heart of Democracy update. Players have been doing their best with SEAF troops on the battlefield to kill as many Illuminate as possible, but there have been casualties. Arguably the biggest casualty is the recent death of the Super Earth president. With the Super Earth president knowingly fallen to the Illuminate, a Helldivers 2 leaker has reminded players about an upcoming election where players will be able to vote between different candidates with unique stratagems and rewards.

Helldivers 2 leak reveals Super Earth president candidates

The Super Earth president has died in Helldivers 2. Per an in-game message relayed on the game’s subreddit, the “President of Super Earth has been killed in action by the Illuminate during the fall of Prosperity City”. According to the report, the “President died heroically, defending the Presidential Security bunker with only a pistol against waves of Illuminate”. As for who is in charge of Super Earth now, “Presidential authority has been placed in the Minister of Defense”.

Back in 2024, there were leaks about a Presidential election, and Iron_S1ghts has shared these leaks once again as they’re now timely following the death of the president. Per Iron_S1ghts, there will be the following three candidates:

Winston Richman Jr. Sr.:

  • Justice Party
  • Backed by “Ulterior” Corporation
  • Focus: Medical Policies
  • Slogans:
    • Tier 1: Justice for all cannot exist without the “all.”
    • Tier 2: By focusing on medical advancement, you can get more “you” out of you.
    • Tier 3: Super Earth can defeat any foe, so long as its citizens are dedicated to the cause. Your vote, our protection.

Gun Ingbrit Morgunsdottir:

  • Freedom Party
  • Backed by “Strohmann” Corporation
  • Focus: The Right to Bear Arms
  • Slogans:
    • Tier 1: As long as the alien menace thrives, we can never be truly free.
    • Tier 2: A gun in every hand means a soldier in every home.
    • Tier 3: There exists nothing in this galaxy more powerful than a well-armed citizen of Super Earth.

Daiyu Hatchet:

  • Prosperity Party
  • Backed by “Permacure” Corporation
  • Focus: Expansion & Wealth of Super Earth
  • Slogans:
    • Tier 1: When we expand, we earn. When we earn, we expand.
    • Tier 2: In knowledge lies power. In power lies prosperity. In prosperity lies freedom.
    • Tier 3: Prosperity means better weapons, better medicine, better Democracy.

In addition to the above unique focuses and slogans, Iron_S1ghts reports that “Each candidate has a unique passive reward, ranging from support bonuses, to additional weapons/stratagems”. It’s stated that “These stratagems will not take up a slot,” and below are the some of the stratagems that were previously leaked:

  • Medical Backpack
  • Medical Resupply (Stims)
  • Both Mechs Tactical Nuclear Warhead (This was changed to Missile Silo)

According to the leaker, it’s likely the system will be revamped, with “most of these rewards/candidates placeholders to expand upon”. Lastly, when the time comes, players will be able to vote for their preferred candidate at an “Election Terminal” in your Super Destroyer.
