Helldivers 2 last received an update on June 24th. Patch 01.003.104 was heralded for delivering significant nerfs to the annoying Levaithans, which Arrowhead have admitted was “bulls*** game design”. While the nerfs for the Leviathan were great, unfortunately, the update has resulted in issues with a popular Helldivers 2 stratagem against the mighty Tanks.
Helldivers 2 dev confirms bug for popular stratagem against Tanks
On July 1st, Arrowhead updated their known issues webpage for Helldivers 2. In this update, they confirmed the following:
- Losing target lock and then reacquiring it against Tanks when using the Spear or W.A.S.P makes missiles miss their target
On YouTube, Glitch Unlimited has shown the WASP stratagem bug in action. In the footage, Glitch Unlimited targets a Tank in the distance, then stops and targets it again. This results in the triangle lock disappearing and the missile veering off to the far right, well away from the target.
It’s unknown what has caused this issue to occur, but at least Arrowhead are aware of it and intending to fix. We don’t know when the next update for Helldivers 2 is planned, but hopefully it’ll be soon.
Other “new” issues the developers are aware of can be found below:
- Stim Pistol and Quasar Cannon are missing some sound effects
- The Gunslinger armor passive slows animations instead of speeding them up.
- Helldiver does not re-equip weapon after bringing up chat window
