A lot has happened in Helldivers 2 the past couple of weeks. Right now, players have an OP buff to enjoy while it lasts, meanwhile, the HD2 community has also discovered a new stratagem that is undeniably sick. While the new Helldivers 2 stratagem is great, it does come with a big caveat.
New Helldivers 2 stratagem
There is a new stratagem for Helldivers 2 called the E/GL-21 Grenadier Battlement. It’s basically a waist-high shield wall with a mounted G-21 grenade launcher.
It comes with the following stats as shared by Iron_S1ghts on X:
- Call-in time: 7.75 sec
- Uses: Unlimited
- Cooldown time: 108 sec
Item traits:
- Hellpod
- Explosive
- Medium Armor Penetrating
On YouTube, Cornzz Games has shown everything that the new stratagem is capable of including the capacity to reflect bullets. While it can reflect ammunition, it is weak against the octopus.
The best thing about the stratagem is that it has a 60 magazine, and you do not need to reload when shooting. You can basically spam explosives all you want at an onslaught of enemies.
The caveat for the stratagem is that it is “temporary” and only available for the latest Major Order right now. This means it can only be used against Illuminate invasion campaigns. In order to be able to become permanent and usable against enemies other than the Illuminate, players will need to be successful in completing the MO to unlock the stratagem which requires defending “against 6 attacks from the Illuminate”.
Helldivers 2 players have struggled to complete Major Orders, such as the recent campaign that resulted in the destruction of Moradesh. Hopefully this MO gets completed so we can unlock the E/GL-21 Grenadier Battlement and use it against enemies other than just squids.
