Even though Helldivers 2 players won the Battle of Super Earth, sending the Illuminate fleeing with their tail between their legs, the army of squids remains a deadly adversary. Even though some nerfs were delivered in update 01.003.101, they remain a difficult opposition to contend with and, judging by new leaks, we haven’t felt the full force of their wrath yet. While their army is already stacked, Helldivers 2 leaks have revealed terrifying new Illuminate enemies ready to join the battlefield, including a “sniper and close-range assassin”.
Helldivers 2 leak reveals new Illuminate enemies
Renowned Helldivers 2 leaker, Iron_S1ghts, has leaked two new Illuminate enemies on their dedicated Discord. We can’t share images of the foes here for copyright purposes, but we can relay the descriptions provided by Iron_S1ghts.
One of the new enemies is reportedly called the Outcast. According to the leaker, it “acts as a sniper and a close-range assassin”. It is capable of “Being able to teleport into battle dual wielding blades or staying at a long range and sniping”. It can also “lunge at players,” and it “can ‘phase’ to move quickly in battle”.
The other leaked enemy is called the Xenobite. This is said to be a “Much weaker, [but] much faster variant of the Overseer”. Supposedly, it “can ‘phase’ to move extremely fast, while being temporarily invulnerable”.
Lastly, although not a leaked enemy, Iron_S1ghts has shared an “Illuminate Cultist Warp Gate” that is said to be the “Cultist’s alternative to grounded warp ships”.
Remember that these are only leaks rather than anything official as of writing. There’s no ETA for when they could possibly join the battlefield, nor is it official they will join the Illuminate’s evergrowing army.
