Arrowhead has just announced a new Warbond for Helldivers 2 called Force of Law. This is set to come out on June 12th, and it feature a slew of new weapons, armor, and more. While the new Warbond is exciting, Helldivers 2 soldiers will also soon receive an awesome free reward as a gift for pushing back the Illuminate from Super Earth.
Helldivers 2 players will receive free reward for beating the Illuminate
At the end of May, Arrowhead declared that the Illuminate had retreated and that Helldivers 2 players won the “Battle of Super Earth,” albeit at “catastrophic damage” such as the fall of Mega Cities and the death of Super Earth’s president.
Following the victory, there has been a lot of glee, including a Chinese TV news station celebrating the comradery between American and Chinese players to defend humanity. While the Force of Law Warbond will be available to buy in just a week’s time, Arrowhead are also looking to reward players with a free cape.
There’s no release date for this free cape, but “It will be delivered in the coming weeks”. Per a message shared on the game’s X account, it is a “commemorative cape, designed to honour the service of and victory of those who fought to defend Super Earth against the Illuminate invasion”.
We don’t know what the cape will look like, but it’s an awesome idea. It will be something players will be able to physically wear and notice while continuing to fight for democracy, and hopefully it’ll look incredible while swaying about as players continue to gun down automatons and bugs.
