Arrowhead Studios is looking at making huge changes to the way jetpacks work in Helldivers 2. Alongside huge changes to ragdolling, the developer is aiming to make it easier for jetpack users to rain Hell from above in a future update.

With new terrifying enemy types on the way for Automatons and Illuminate missions in the works, Arrowhead is continuing to tweak Helldivers 2. Alongside the addition of new warbonds, such as Truth Enforcers, the developer is hoping to make mid-air combat much better.

Following a massive buff to the game’s jetpacks in a recent update, Arrowhead is working to further tweak how players use the stratagem in the future. Detailed in the latest patch notes, massive changes to jetpacks are being looked at as a “medium priority” for new updates.

“Jetpack users have difficulty shooting while airborne,” the patch notes read, teasing new changes coming in the future.

While no changes have been outright confirmed by the developer, the patch notes tease that the jetpacks will be teased to make shooting mid-air easier. Perhaps, in a future update, players will be able to have extra maneuverability to better aim at bugs, bots and whatever comes next as they soar through the air.

Always changing

With the Jet Brigade now spreading across the Galactic Map, it seems that players may also get a fresh buff to battle the hauntingly agile Automaton forces. As one of the more unique stratagems in the game, the Jet Pack offers a very different playstyle for those with the skill to use it. (Not me, but someone else out there.)

As a live-service multiplayer game, Helldivers 2 is always changing, and its exciting to see such sweeping changes in the works for the future.
