Halo: The Master Chief Collection developer 343 Industries has reached out to fans with hopes of getting an idea of what features the community would like to see hit the first-person shooter compilation down the road.

Writing in a post on the Halo Waypoint, 343 mouthpiece Brian Jarrard made it clear that any content suggestions are not guaranteed to actually appear in the game, but the studio is keen to get an idea of what the fan base is thinking nonetheless.

‘This is by no means a promise or a commitment to implement any of these ideas but more an exercise to better understand that IF there are opportunities to evaluate new feature(s), which ones are most wanted by the current community?’ said Jarrard. ‘Again – please do not assume that any of these features would ever make it to MCC.’

It’s worth noting that additions such as improved online and networking won’t need to be a top pick as they’re already being implemented. The same goes for Xbox One X functionality and dedicated servers for match-made games, although Jarrard noted that the much-requested PC version of the Master Chief Collection doesn’t count as a feature.

Of course, 343 is also busy beavering away on the highly anticipated Halo 6, though has assured fans that its ongoing support for the Master Chief Collection won’t affect development of the sequel.

There’s also the Halo TV show to watch out for, although when that’ll actually arrive on screens is anyone’s guess.
