343 Industries has temporarily advised against using the Xbox Series X|S’ Quick Resume feature when playing the campaign of Halo Infinite.
The game’s community director Brian Jarrard warned fans of a minor bug via his Twitter account (spotted by GameSpot). He revealed that during the campaign, players are supposed to be able to earn cosmetics to use in multiplayer. However, if a player comes across them while offline, then they won’t be granted. The issue arises in that, currently, you can be disconnected from online services if you use Quick Resume and thus lose out on these cosmetics.
Jarrard has reassured fans that 343 is aware of the bug and are working on a retroactive fix. This is especially handy, given the previously-announced issue that players are currently unable to replay older missions. In the meantime, players are advised to make sure they’re online before continuing their campaign. Hopefully, players won’t be left waiting too long for that fix.
Master Chief’s latest adventure is now finally out in the wild as of last night. We reviewed both the singleplayer portion and the multiplayer and you can check out our verdict over here. Halo Infinite is available now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
The team is aware and we will eventually have a retroactive fix (you will get the cosmetics youve earned). For now, I recommend not continuing a Quick Resume session and making sure you’re online before venturing into Zeta Halo. Thank you! (2/2)
