Supergiant Games has announced that its award-winning rogue-like Hades will finally arrive on Xbox and PlayStation consoles on August 13.

The hack and slash title has picked up a bevvy of awards since it left early access on PC and Nintendo Switch last year. These included five prizes at this year’s BAFTA Games Awards, including gongs for Artistic Achievement and overall Best Game too.

Furthermore, the game will be on Xbox Game Pass for PC, Console and even the Cloud on launch, meaning subscribers can pick it up for no extra cost.

Supergiant has also said they’re working with Take Two offshoot Private Division to bring a physical version to shop shelves. These will include a download code for the game’s soundtrack and a 32 page full-colour art book.

If you’re not up to speed, the game sees you take on the role of Zagreus, the Prince of the Underworld, who’s trying to escape the clutches of his father, Hades. Along the way he’ll pick up upgrades and abilities from various gods of the underworld as you fight your way through a number of realms including Tartarus, Asphodel, Elysium and the Temple of Styx.

You can check out a trailer for the game for yourself down below. Hades launches on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 from August 13, 2021.
