Hades 2 early access is now out for fans to enjoy on PC. It has been received very well by critics and it should be a delight for everyone who enjoyed the original epic. Although it is a sequel, you can join completely new as it stars a fresh main character named Melinoë. While it has only just come out, fans have found an in-game hint that Hades 2 could potentially get DLC.

In our review, we bestowed Hades 2 with a perfect 10/10 score thanks to its gorgeous visuals, addictive gameplay, and wonderful narrative and characters. It’s true that the experience is not the finished product yet, but early access already contains more dialogue, characters, and enemies than the full original classic. Not only that, but Supergiant Games’ roadmap outlines lots of exciting new content coming in the near future.

While Supergiant Games has outlined new content that will join the game through free updates, there’s also the possibility that the game may get DLC. This would happen after the eventual launch of 1.0, and it would be another departure from tradition for Supergiant Games.

Will Hades 2 get DLC?

Supergiant Games hasn’t announced if Hades 2 will get any DLC, but fans have found a possible in-game hint. Reddit user GunBladeAkali has shared an in-game screenshot that is possibility hinting at downloadable content in the game’s future.

This doesn’t mean DLC is definite and releasing paid downloadable content post-launch is something Supergiant Games has never done before. However, as acknowledged in the game’s official FAQ, Supergiant Games has also never made a sequel before, so anything is possible.

Thanks to its brilliance, many fans were clamouring for DLC once the credits rolled on Hades. There was an obvious yearning from the community for more levels, enemies, and story, but sadly nothing materialized.

If DLC were to become a reality, it could be free content or it could be bigger paid for post-launch expansions. This is all purely hypothetical, but any DLC would be welcomed as it would simply provide more content.

Whether future downloadable content happens or not, you needn’t worry about Hades 2 being an incomplete experience. The game is not the finished product yet as it is early access only, but it’s been in development for three years and it is already bigger than the original epic. While not finished yet, you might want to consider buying it now as Supergiant has acknowledged there’s the possibility the price could increase with the release of 1.0.
