Take-Two Interactive has revealed that the decade-long wait for GTA 6 may soon come to an end as the long awaited title could be be here as soon as April 2024.
The exciting revelation came as part of the company’s recent earnings report wherein they stated that they would be “launching several groundbreaking titles” during fiscal year 2025 that will apparently enable them to set new industry standards.
Despite the fact that Rockstar Games is yet to actually reveal the launch date for the next installment, it has become widely known that the game is currently undergoing development after one daring hacker had previously leaked key GTA 6 information last year. Although the culprit has since been arrested, the damage had already been done and the details have now been shared through several social media sites including Reddit and Twitter.
It’s worth noting, though, that Take-Two hasn’t actually named GTA 6 as one of the titles they would be releasing during their massive, upcoming run in fiscal year 2025. However, they do end up mentioning that the games they release during this time would allow them to “achieve over $8 billion in Net Bookings and over $1 billion in Adjusted Unrestricted Operating Cash Flow,” so it’s hard to imagine any other release having this kind of influence and projected earning power.
Take-Two would go on to add that they “expect to sustain this momentum” moving forward, which likely means that there will be a few more significant releases in the next few years. It’s currently unclear what these will be, but with several titles already in Take-Two Interactive’s pipeline, it’s safe to say that gamers will have plenty to look forward to both in the short- and long-term.
