Sony Computer Entertainment of Japan (via 4Gamer.net, translated by 1up) has revealed that Gran Turismo 5 is to receive three free cars from December 24.
The free DLC includes the Lamborghini Murcielago LP 640, the BMW M3 Coupe and the Jaguar XJ13. The free downloads will be available until January 31, 2011.
No announcement has been made regarding the DLC outside of Japan, but given that the three cars can already be obtained via the Collector’s Edition and the game’s Facebook app, it seems likely we’ll get the free downloads too.
Free stuff is always great, but this isn’t really anything worth getting too excited about as it’s not new content. Collector’s Edition owners might in fact be a bit miffed that the exclusive Lamborghini and BMW are being offered to everyone else at no charge.
