Polyphony has dropped the new 1.11 patch for Gran Turismo 7, bringing promised tweaks to the game’s much-criticised credit system.

As per the release notes, the latter half of the game’s World Circuit mode has had its payouts increased. On top of this, there’s three new events on the Tokyo Expressway, Heures du Mans and Sardegna circuits. Rewards in plenty of other modes have also been increased and/or tweaked, including Arcade, Custom and in Lobbies & Daily Races in Sports mode. Elsewhere, the update also raises the maximum cap for earned in-game credits to 100 million Cr.

Kazunori Yamauchi promised several of these updates in a letter to fans late last month. The letter was, in part, an apology for changes made to the game’s economy made during the game’s 1.07 downtime. Fans heavily criticised these changes, noting the low payouts seemed to be pushing players towards the game’s microtransactions.

Away from these adjustments to the in-game economy, there’s plenty of other additions in the update. They include a bunch of new Missions with one-hour endurance races. These are available for players who’s Collector’s Level is 23, with ‘The Human Comedy’ becoming selectable in the Missions menu once you do.

On top of all that, there’s many, many other tweaks and fixes. Some of these include increasing the number of Used and Legendary cars in the line up, improved car physics, and much, much more. You can read the full list of changes over on the Gran Turismo website.

The Gran Turismo 7 1.11 patch is available now for the game on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. If you’ve not read our review yet, check that out over here.
