WB Games Montreal has dropped a new story trailer for the upcoming action RPG Gotham Knights during the DC Fandome event over the weekend.
In a Gotham City seemingly without a Batman or Jim Gordon, it’s the Court of Owls running roughshod across the city. Nightwing, Red Hood, Batgirl and Robin will have to use their unique skills to take the fight to them, but it seems old enemy The Penguin also has his claws in the mix.
We also got an accompanying look behind the scenes at the task WB Games Montreal had bringing the Court of Owls to the world of the games. DC’s Chief Creative Officer Jim Lee and Court of Owls co-creators Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo give us an insight into the history of the shady cabal.
They talk on how they might be the Bats’ most effective villain, having operated right underneath the Caped Crusader’s nose the entire time. Perhaps they’re even responsible for Bruce Wayne’s apparent death in this game, as WB has confirmed it takes place in a separate universe to the Batman: Arkham series? We’ll have to wait and see to find out.
