How to get the God of War Ragnarok preorder bonus in game?
So, in case you weren’t aware, those who preordered the game are able to claim a Risen Snow Armor for Kratos and a Risen Snow Tunic for Atreus. However, it might not be immediately clear how you get these bonus pieces of equipment.
To make things clear from the off – you won’t have these pieces of equipment from the start of the game. So when you first start, don’t worry if it seems like neither Kratos or Artreus are wearing the special garb.
In fact, you’ll have to wait until you reach Brok and Sindri – God of War Ragnarok’s fan-favourite Dwarves and armourers – before you can equip this gear.
You don’t actually meet up with the pair until the end of the entire first chapter of the game. So, first you’ll have to play through to the end of Surviving Fimbulwinter before you can get your goodies.
Early in Chapter 2, you’ll find yourself in Sindri’s House, and it’s here you’ll get a brief tutorial on crafting and equipping armour for both yourself and Atreus from Brok.
Complete this tutorial, and then you’ll be able to change any and all of your armor pieces at will.
If you’re already past this point, then it’s just a case of hitting the Touch Pad, pressing R2 to navigate to the Armor menu and you should find the armor in your inventory.
Remember, Kratos’ comes in three pieces, so you can mix and match with other pieces of armor as you see fit. Atreus’ Risen Snow Tunic meanwhile is just one entire outfit.
Neither outfit provides much in the way of bonuses and are more nice cosmetic options – although they do provide adequate starting stats for the early part of the game and can be upgraded too.
And that’s it. God of War Ragnarok is very good – and is out now; if you need some more advice, why not check out our comprehensive guides hub for the game?
