Fortnite developer Epic Games has said it will iron out an in-game swastika from the battle royale title in a new update.

It's worth pointing out that the swastika was entirely accidental. Remember, Fortnite allows you make pretty much anything you want using its building tool, which is how this whole situation came about.

The accidental symbol was formed while Reddit user EuBestCityEu was busy cobbling together a dance floor during the middle of a squad match, using metal sheets. They were then edited in-game to change their shape, which resulted in a swastika forming. Whoops.

Epic Games was swiftly made aware of this, and has now confirmed the symbol will be removed in a new update, albeit not until next week.

'This was unintended and will be addressed ASAP by adjusting the metal piece art,' Epic said on Reddit, later confirming to The Verge that the update will roll out next week.

Fortnite update 4.4 is out now.
