The next Fortnite season is just around the corner, set to launch on Friday, February 21. Much of its content has already been revealed, including the Battle Pass, which Epic Games showcased ahead of the live event. The season’s trailer, released on Tuesday, teased plenty of exciting additions, including new vaults.
For the first time since Chapter 5’s release, Epic is giving the in-game train a major upgrade. Given its lack of popularity over the past year, this improvement is long overdue. Fortunately, the Fortnite developers have a solid plan to make it better!
The next Fortnite season will make the train much better
Epic Games introduced the train in December 2023 as a new feature in Chapter 5 – Season 1, and many players initially enjoyed it. It provided a fresh way to engage in combat and collect extra loot. However, over the past few months, the train has lost its excitement. While Epic has made a few tweaks, it’s clear that a bigger overhaul is needed.
The good news is that the next Fortnite season will bring a major overhaul to the train. As the Chapter 6 – Season 2 trailer showed, players will be able to blow up the roof of the train and get inside. While it’s hard to tell what’s exactly inside, it certainly looks like a vault with extra loot. Furthermore, the train will have a turret on top of it.
The focus of the season will be breaking into vaults and extracting the loot from them. Due to this, it’s no surprise that Epic Games will finally allow players to break into the train and get extra items from it. The new season is set to come out on Friday, and we will find out more information about it on the launch day.
