Fortnite is known to rely on player feedback and requests when it comes to making crucial changes to gameplay or a cosmetic item. For instance, Epic removed War Machine’s Hover Jets in the latest hotfix which were becoming a hindrance for players during the Halloween update.

Similarly, when it comes to cosmetic items, Fortnite has earlier made changes to emotes and skins as per the community’s request. Now in the most recent news, Fortnite players expressed their issues with a new emote called Caffeinated which had a sped-up version of Sabrina Carpenter’s track Espresso, and Epic has thus responded to the outrage.

Fortnite removes Caffeinated emote from the Item Shop within a day of its release

Just under a few hours after the emote’s release in the Item Shop, the official Fortnite Status made the shocking announcement before taking down Caffeinated from the in-game store. In the post they wrote, “We’ve temporarily removed the Caffeinated Emote from the Item Shop, and will provide more info on when it will return.”

This implies that the Fortnite emote will make a return in the near future and players assume it’s due to the outrage over the sped-up version of Espresso that was applied to the emote. After its removal, several players expressed their gratitude to Epic for “listening to the community”.

One such fan said, “You could have simply given the reason, much more sympathetic. Another wrote, “It sounds like Fortnite is planning something special for the return of the Caffeinated Emote. Fans will be eagerly awaiting updates!”

Is the Caffeinated Fortnite emote getting a slowed version?

As of yet it isn’t confirmed whether the music in the Caffeinated emote will be slowed down or a new emote in its place will be released with the original Espresso track.

However, after the emote’s removal, players expect Epic to fix the music and release Caffeinated with the original track rather than releasing a new one to avoid the Jubi Slide and Side Shuffle situation.
