Fortnite Sidekicks, better known as companion pets, are coming to the game on November 1! The exciting new feature will launch with The Simpsons season, which is less than 72 hours away. Sidekicks are friendly cosmetics that will follow players around, interact with them, and have different styles and appearances.

Shortly after the feature comes out, Fortnite will grant a free sidekick to eligible players. While most of the pets will come to the Item Shop, one will be included in the upcoming Battle Pass, and some of them will be converted from pet back blings.

What Are Fortnite Sidekicks?

Sidekicks are new cosmetic items in Fortnite. They provide no competitive advantage to players, as they are limited to strictly the cosmetic aspect of the game. In addition, these new Fortnite pets don’t take any damage, although they can react to the world and interact with players who own them.

The appearance of each Sidekick can be customized. To unlock additional options, players will have to collect Sidekick Points. Similar to the Maya skin from Chapter 2 – Season 2, each Sidekick will have multiple customization options, but these options will be permanently locked in after players are done customizing them.

The first Sidekick to come to Fortnite is Peels, which is based on the game’s iconic banana! This pet will be included in the new Battle Pass, which is set to go live on Saturday, November 1. Bonesy, Spike, and Lil’ Raptor will come to the Item Shop on November 7, and Epic Games will release a new cat companion shortly after.

Finally, players who own the Bonesy back bling will receive the Bonesy Sidekick on November 7 as well!
