Fortnite servers have been quite unstable over the past few days. The downtime for the v32.10 update lasted longer than Epic Games expected it to, and even after it was over, many players dealt with issues. Due to matchmaking problems, the game developer had to disable Reload, while UEFN and Creative were also not functioning properly.
Fortunately, Epic fixed most of these problems, and Fortnite Reload is now working. The map rotation is out, and while matchmaking issues are still persistent, it doesn’t seem that many players are dealing with them. However, the company announced another server maintenance, which will affect Fortnite and a few other games.
Fortnite servers will be unstable next week
Epic Games recently announced another server maintenance that will negatively affect Fortnite’s performance. The company will perform maintenance of Epic Online Services on Tuesday, November 19, and many games will have issues during it, from Fortnite to Rocket League. Fortunately, the maintenance will only take two hours.
According to the game developer, the maintenance is scheduled for 6 AM UTC. Once it begins, servers will have issues with sessions, as they will fail and need to be recreated. This will affect every part of the game, from Fortnite Creative to Battle Royale and Reload.
If you plan to play Fortnite on November 19, keep in mind that you may encounter some issues. Fortunately, servers should go back to their normal state relatively fast.
Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix season will likely have another server downtime in late November, as Epic will release the v32.11 update. This update will be the last one of the season, and before it comes out, the company will take servers down. We also expect servers to be taken down for an extended period before the release of Chapter 6.
