With every new season or update Fortnite makes varying changes to the way the game plays. Whether it’s vaulting a weapon players are complaining about or adding a completely new map, nothing is constant in Fortnite. However, with this approach to innovation, some players have begun to ask Epic Games to stop removing some of the more interesting features the game has seen in the past, including tornado weather effects, tires, repair torches and more.

Taking to Reddit one player asked, “What’s up with Epic always adding cool new features and then removing them shortly afterwards?” This comment, of course, attracted a number of players eager to see the return of now-forgotten features and items. One player was quick to say, “Bring back the tires and repair torches.”

Other specific items were also mentioned by players such as the Guardian Shield ability. One user noted, “That shield was AMAZING, granted it’s literally a near exact clone of Reinhardt’s from OW [Overwatch], but it was so fun to block a Kamehameha wave with it or push somebody in zero builds with the bad boy out.” The shield seemed to be a standout as well, as another player pointed out the shield would be a great counter to “the repeater/drum shotty spam.”

Other players were also quick to agree with one player saying, “The shield would literally be perfect in this season.” Weather was also a topic of discussion with one player saying they’d return to the game if it was a feature. They said, “I’d play more if they brought that back. You can’t have a storm without weather.”

Whether these features are set to fade into obscurity or make a triumphant return at some point is anyone’s guess. However, one thing is for sure, players want to see them return. In other Fortnite news, Fortnite players call Chapter 4 Season 3 “the most lifeless season” in recent history and Fortnite leaker reveals two unreleased skins, and fans love them.
