Fortnite players have been missing two fan-favorite modes since the chaotic launch of Chapter 7. Fortunately, the wait will soon be over. Epic Games has confirmed that both Reload and Blitz are making their grand return later this week, bringing fast-paced action back to the game. More specifically, Fortnite Reload and Blitz will come back on Thursday, December 4.
The modes were temporarily disabled after the Dark Voyager, the new antagonist, destroyed the Battle Bus. Interestingly, both of the modes will return with brand-new maps. Epic Games revealed these new maps, making the community even more excited.

The next Fortnite content update is scheduled for Thursday, December 4. You won’t have to download this update, as Epic has already added all the necessary data for it with the first Chapter 7 patch. Instead, the game developer will simply enable Blitz and Reload, while also adding their respective new maps.
The removal of these modes was tied directly to the season’s lore, which was seen in the live event. When the Dark Voyager destroyed the Battle Bus to kick off the chapter, it disrupted the loop and disabled these specific modes. In addition, the OG mode and Delulu are also down, as they are scheduled to return in the second week of December.
At the moment, only Battle Royale and Zero Build modes are active, which is certainly not a bad thing. However, Blitz has become very popular since its release, and many players miss fast-paced action, which is what this mode is all about.
This month will be exciting, as shortly after the return of the other modes, Fortnite will release the Winterfest event. This annual event usually comes out in mid-December, and Epic will almost certainly give away numerous cosmetics during it, including two free skins.
