Over the past seven years, Epic Games has released thousands of Fortnite skins. Some of these skins were made in collaboration with other brands or companies, from Microsoft to Samsung. Epic also collaborated with Nvidia, the world’s biggest GPU manufacturer, which resulted in another exclusive skin in Fortnite.
Interestingly, the Fortnite x Nvidia collaboration brought the rarest skin of all time. This skin has also been quite controversial since Epic accidentally released it to the Item Shop. The once-controversial cosmetic item was last seen in the store more than 2000 days ago, and it’s unlikely that it will even return again.
The rarest Fortnite skin was last seen more than five years ago
Reflex is the rarest Fortnite skin of all time. This was supposed to be an Nvidia-exclusive skin that could only be obtained by purchasing a GeForce graphics card. However, Epic accidentally released the cosmetic item to the in-game store, which caused a lot of controversy. To make up for this, the game developer gave another exclusive skin, Stealth Reflex, to players who owned the original Reflex.
The skin came out on March 3, 2019, and was removed a day later. Considering how much backlash Epic got for its release, it’s unlikely that it will ever return. Due to this, we expect Reflex to keep the title of the rarest Fortnite skin for many more years.
Reflex is the only skin that was vaulted for more than 2000 days. However, World Warrior (1858) could join the club soon if Epic doesn’t bring it back by January 17, 2025. Other potential skins are Shaman (1731 days), as well as NFL skins, which were last seen on February 3, 2020.
Interestingly, Epic will bring back Trench Raider, the fourth-rarest Fortnite skin, in just a few days. The skin has only been out twice in the Item Shop, with the last appearance being January 18, 2020. However, it will soon lose its exclusivity and become available to millions of Fortnite players.
