Fortnite has released thousands of cosmetic items over the past eight years. While there is no doubt that skins (outfits) are the most popular item in the game, many players enjoy using emotes as well, whether it’s just to vibe with a cool song or dance on your opponent’s, well, grave?
Interestingly, one of the rarest emotes was recently updated by Epic Games and should be available to purchase. This emote was last available seven years ago, which is why it’s extremely rare. The Fortnite developer released it in 2022 by accident but removed it shortly after. Now, it will likely return for a couple of days.
An extremely rare Fortnite emote should return soon
According to Hypex, the most popular Fortnite leaker, Epic updated the Tidy emote with the latest update. Usually, when the game creator updates an item, it returns within a few weeks. While the return date of this rare emote hasn’t been leaked or revealed yet, there is a good chance that it will be available in August.
Epic released this emote by accident on December 6, 2022. However, this was quickly fixed, as the section of the Item Shop that had an emote was quickly removed. Excluding this accident, the emote was last available on December 12, 2018. In other words, the last time the Tidy emote was in the shop was in the first week of Chapter 1 – Season 7.
Only Fresh and Hot Marat emotes are rarer than Tidy. The first one was last available on November 21, 2018, while Hot Marat was a free emote that was last seen on November 25 of the same year.
It’s important to note that there is a slim chance that the rare Fortnite emote will not return at all. Epic Games updated the Kratos bundle in 2024 but has never brought it back. The good news, however, is that almost every updated item has returned shortly after Epic modified it. Due to this, we expect the Tidy emote to return to the shop within the next few weeks.
