The Fortnite player survey for December 2023 has been revealed, hinting at numerous possible mainstream partnerships in the future, including the long-awaited Pirates of the Caribbean and How to Train Your Dragon collaborations. But even though the tally contains several exciting albeit currently unconfirmed appearances, the listed characters and franchises are missing one highly requested crossover in Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption series.

With 2023 nearly ended and players already busy dissecting their Fortnite Year in Review recaps, most are predictably looking forward to what the future of Epic Games’ battle royale has in store, especially after the introduction of a handful of exciting game modes in LEGO Fortnite and Rocket Racing. And following Fortnite news aggregator ShiinaBR’s X (formerly Twitter) post revealing the Fortnite player survey for December 2023, this has given fans a faint idea of what to expect in the coming months.

Since releasing Red Dead Redemption for the PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2010, Rockstar’s Western open-world RPG quickly became a hit with players thanks to its dramatic plot and action-packed gameplay. The fanfare surrounding the series was then pushed to even greater heights following the launch of the equally beloved and widely praised sequel, Red Dead Redemption 2, in 2018.

So, with the Epic Games battle royale continuing to introduce new characters into its already massive roster of fictional figures, some fans immediately noticed the absence of Red Dead Redemption from the comprehensive survey. The same user even mentioned RDR being featured “in the first ever survey years ago” and then never appearing again.

Of course, these Fortnite player surveys aren’t the end-all for future collaborations, so the Red Dead Redemption crossover may yet come to fruition.
