Epic Games released Fortnite Season 4 last week, adding a lot of new content to the video game. While players are still exploring the new map and content, Epic released another patch. You will have to download it before you can get into the game since it’s essential.

The first major Fortnite update in Chapter 4 – Season 4 is scheduled for next Tuesday. This will be the v26.10 update and will bring several changes, including a new item. According to leaks, Epic will release the Shield Breaker EMP Grenade next week, but we expect a lot of other content.

In the meantime, let’s take a look at the latest Fortnite patch.

New Fortnite patch was released due to stability issues

The new Fortnite patch was released on Wednesday around 8 AM Eastern Time. The patch was pushed to all supported platforms, including gaming consoles, Android mobile phones, and PCs. If you intend to play Fortnite, you will have to download it before you can launch the game.

The patch was released to fix stability issues caused by the release of Chapter 4 – Season 4. Many players have reported these issues since the new season came out, which is why Epic Games released a new patch to fix them.

The patch size is small and shouldn’t take more than a few minutes to download. However, it’s important to note that PC players might have to re-download the entire game if they are low on disk space. To avoid this issue, it’s necessary to clean up the disk and free up extra space on it.

The first major update will likely come out next Tuesday. Besides new gameplay content, the update will bring several bug fixes as well, including the fix for auto-run when alt-tabbing. All the other bug fixes can be tracked on Fortnite’s Trello board.
