Epic Games has brought several features back from Fortnite Chapter 1. While this would be rather surprising, it makes sense considering all the hints and leaks regarding the next season. It appears that the game developer is slowly adding back older features and getting everything ready for Season 5.

While Epic hasn’t confirmed it yet, the OG Fortnite map will likely return in a few weeks. Not only has the game creator hinted at this, but many reputable leakers believe this will be the case. The latest update is almost a confirmation of Chapter 1’s return, as Epic has secretly brought back a few older features.

Here’s all you need to know about the update.

Several Fortnite Chapter 1 features have returned

Epic Games recently released an update that changed the sound of the Shockwave Grenade. The mobility item now uses the same sound it used during Fortnite Chapter 1, which is rather odd. Shockwave Grenade hasn’t received many updates lately, so this one is puzzling.

This is likely Epic’s way of hinting at the return of the old Fortnite Battle Royale map. After all, there was no reason to change the sound of the item as it was working perfectly fine.

You can hear the old sound in the video below.

Another Fortnite player reported that the game developer added back the old music when entering new POIs, while others believe that the sound of harvesting was also reverted. Due to this, we expect Epic Games to add even more OG Fortnite sounds and features over the next few weeks.

If Fortnite Chapter 1 does return, it’ll be interesting to see if it will have original graphics. Epic has made big changes to this aspect of the game since the end of the chapter, and while most of them have improved Fortnite, many players would love to see the original graphics return as well.
