Epic Games will release a new V-Bucks feature in Fortnite next month. This will make cosmetic items more affordable for players who otherwise wouldn’t be able to get them. However, this feature won’t be available on every platform right away. Epic won’t release it on PlayStation, which is quite surprising considering the popularity of this console.

The good news is that the Fortnite developer will work on releasing V-Bucks reloading on every system in the future. The feature will come in October, but it may need additional polishing before it can be released on Sony’s gaming system.

New V-Bucks feature in Fortnite will not be available on PlayStation

Starting on October 14, Fortnite players will be able to top up their V-Bucks in smaller increments. At the moment, it is possible to purchase bundles, which start at 1000 V-Bucks for $8.99. Bigger bundles offer greater discounts, and each purchase grants 20% cashback when completed on the Epic Games Store.

Next month, it will be possible to purchase as few as 100 V-Bucks at once. For example, players who want to purchase a skin that costs 1200 V-Bucks, yet they only have 1000 V-Bucks in their account, will get an offer to purchase the exact amount needed to complete the purchase.

This feature will make cosmetic items more affordable, especially for those who rarely spend money on the game. However, for some reason, it won’t be available on PlayStation right away. Neither Epic Games nor Sony hass given a reason for this, but things may change in the future.

Epic plans to release the V-Bucks feature on every platform, so it’s likely just a matter of time before PlayStation users get it. Also, since the release of the feature is a month away, things may change in the meantime.
