Fortnite on mobile is free to download like its console counterpart, but that hasn't apparently stopped people from spending a shed load of cash on in-game microtransactions.

That's according to data obtained by Sensor Tower, which reports that the iOS version of the popular battle royale game has made an average of $2 million per day over the 10-day period since the launch of Fortnite Season Five.

By comparison, the game was already making an average of $1.2 million everyday from its March 15 release to Season Four's conclusion on July 11.

Furthermore, on the final 10 days of that season, Fortnite Mobile was apparently taking in an average of $1.7 million through microtransactions.

The report goes on to state that the mobile edition of Epic Games' shooter has raked in a whopping $150 million to date, and the Android version hasn't even launched yet. Last week, a report claimed that the game has made $1 billion alone from in-game transactions across all formats.

Fortnite recently celebrated its one-year anniversary with a new update yesterday, bringing back the popular Playground mode in the process.
