Fortnite has gathered a huge history of lore ever since its initial release in 2017. What started out as simply a battle royale has become a gargantuan experience spanning several chapters with different themes and stories. Over these several chapters, we have encountered a slew of unique and original characters, and a leak says an extremely popular Fortnite villain is returning with an exciting limited-time mode.
Fans of the Epic Games battle royale can rejoice as Fortnite is officially coming back to iOS. This is exciting news for players who severely miss playing the game on their phones. Not only is there the return to iOS to look forward to, but fans also have the imminent release date of Chapter 5 Season 2 to anticipate. And, as if things couldn’t get even better, leaks also point to another TMNT collaboration bringing Shredder.
While Shredder is a classic bad guy from our childhood, more exciting leaks point to the return of a popular OG villain from the minds of the creatives at Epic Games.
Midas is coming back to Fortnite
Reliable Fortnite leaker Hypex says Midas is coming back to Epic Games’ battle royale. Not only that, but he is returning with an LTM called Midas Presents: Floor is Lava. And, in even more revealing news, there is apparently an upcoming or unused landmark called Midas Yacht. This was discovered by SpushFNBR through added text in update 28.10. And to be even more clear, this is concerning the OG male Midas and not the female alternative skin.
The return of Midas would be great. We haven’t seen the baddie since his apparent death in the Chapter 2 Season 3 trailer where he was shown being pursued by a shark, as well as his revenge in Fortnitemares 2020. If you’ve forgotten all about Midas, he was the founder of SHADOW and the leader of GHOST and he was ultimately responsible for the flooding of Fortnite in Chapter 2 Season 3.
Of course, this is not official as Epic Games has not yet confirmed anything. Hypex also doesn’t share when exactly Midas could return so it’s not guaranteed for the upcoming Chapter 5 Season 2. Naturally, the replies to Hypex’s tweet are flooded with excitement.
In other Fortnite news, an upcoming Festival song is a huge L according to divided fans. Epic Games’ battle royale is also no longer the most popular game right now as it has been surpassed by Palworld.
