The Fortnite x Saw collaboration will take the next step with the release of the Halloween event. Billy the Puppet has come out to the Item Shop, but this is just the tip of the iceberg. Once Fortnitemares 2024 comes out on Saturday, Epic Games will add a new Saw-inspired feature that will be active during the event.
Originally, this feature was supposed to come out on Friday morning. However, Epic postponed the Fortnitemares 2024 event, and the new release date is Saturday, October 11.
Jigsaw Challenges are coming to Fortnite and are deadly
Last week, Fortnite leakers showed a new Mythic item coming with the Halloween event. The item is called Boom Billy and will be added with the Fortnitemares 2024 update. However, the latest leak shows a new feature that will involve this item. It appears that Epic will add Jigsaw’s Challenges to the game, and they will be deadly.
According to FN_Assist, Jigsaw’s Challenges will replace Shadow Briefings during the upcoming event. Once you activate them, you will have a fuse on your head and be tasked with attacking another player with Billy Bomb before the timer runs out. In addition to this, you will be given a Saw-themed Cuddle Team Leader mask.
At the moment, it’s unknown how much damage Billy Bomb will deal to enemies. Furthermore, we don’t know what happens if you don’t manage to get to activate the bomb in time. Despite this, the upcoming feature sounds amazing and will be a perfect addition to the Fortnitemares 2024 event.
Besides the new Saw feature and item, Epic will also release a Chainsaw item in Fortnite. The Pumpkin Launcher, Witch Broom, and the Wood Stake Shotgun will return, along with many fan-favorite Halloween-themed skins.
