Epic Games is working on big Fortnite changes. This comes as no surprise considering that the company has released hundreds of updates over the past few years. However, the upcoming change will make the battle royale game look much different.
Fortnite hasn’t had too many interface changes. Chapter 1 had its unique design, while another major change came with the release of Chapter 2. Ever since then, the game has received smaller interface changes, such as a different Battle Pass design. Due to this, Epic has decided to completely redesign the game.
Surprisingly, the company revealed these changes on its official blog, and here’s what we know about it so far.
Fortnite’s new interface will look fantastic
Epic Games has been working on Fortnite’s new interface for at least a few months. It seems that the intention of this change is to make the game look less complicated. In addition, the new interface will bring many improvements, including a new Discover page.
The video game developer revealed this massive Fortnite change on its official blog. However, it appears that this was an accident, as Epic quickly took the page down, removing all the images. While these images are no longer available on the company’s website, they have been downloaded and reposted all over the internet.
It’s hard to tell why Epic Games published a blog post with these images. However, there’s a chance that the new interface will come with the next Fortnite update. The next update is major and will likely be released on Tuesday, September 26, at 4 AM Eastern Time.
The new design makes the video game feel fresh and new. It’s surprising that Epic will likely release it this season, considering how massive of a change this is. Unfortunately, it’s already received a lot of backlash, as many players believe it resembles a mobile game design, but that may change in the future.
