Epic Games is constantly working on changing and improving Fortnite. The battle royale video game has drastically changed over the past six years and looks different than it did in 2017. However, Epic isn’t going to stop releasing updates anytime soon, and the upcoming Fortnite change will be a real game-changer.

According to Donald Mustard, Epic’s former Chief Creative Officer, the team is working on jaw-dropping content. While the game designer hasn’t revealed what this exactly means, chances are that he hinted at the upcoming revamp of the user interface.

The new interface was leaked, and here’s everything you need to know about it.

Next big Fortnite change to come out with v26.30 update

According to Wenso, a reputable Fortnite leaker, the UI change will come out with the v26.30 update. Considering that the next update (v26.20) is scheduled for late September, the third major patch will likely come in October.

The leaker also showed a video of the big Fortnite change. For the first time since the release of Chapter 2, the video game will get a massive overhaul of its user interface. The new interface looks much simpler, but also more modern. You can see a few more details about it in the video below.

Epic Games changed the design and position of nearly every element on the screen. The friend list is no longer on the left side and will be opened by interacting with the player avatar in the top right corner. Game mode selection was moved to the left side, while season info was moved to the right.

On top of this, Epic will likely release an improved Discover tab with the update. Furthermore, a new design of the Item Shop may also debut in October.

This Fortnite change will be massive as it will completely change the look of the game. Due to this, players will probably need a lot of time to get used to it. However, considering that Epic Games hasn’t updated Fortnite’s UI in a long time, this is certainly a step in the right direction.
