Epic Games released a new chapter of Fortnite on Sunday, adding lots of new content to the game. The developer made the game feel fresh and new once again, which was expected. Unfortunately, not everyone has been able to enjoy the season so far. Some players were banned on the first day of it, but Epic has fixed that problem.
Interestingly, the Fortnite developer also compensated players with free V-Bucks, which was a nice surprise. To make the situation even better, the amount of V-Bucks is significant, allowing players who got it to buy themselves even the most expensive skin from the Item Shop.
Why did some Fortnite players receive free V-Bucks?
We’ve only been in Chapter 6 for a few days, yet Epic Games has already sent a couple of V-Bucks refunds to Fortnite players. On the very first day of the new chapter, the developer refunded 1,400 V-Bucks to Fortnite Crew subscribers who purchased the Music Pass before the start of the season, which was a pleasant surprise.
On Tuesday, Epic sent free V-Bucks to Fortnite players who were falsely banned at the beginning of the chapter. These players were unbanned shortly after the start of the new season and they just received compensation from the game developer. More specifically, everyone affected by this issue received 2,000 V-Bucks.
“We incorrectly took action against your account. We’re sorry and will be granting 2000 V-Bucks to your account to compensate for the error,” Epic wrote in a message that appeared along with free V-Bucks.
Considering that free V-Bucks can mostly be earned by leveling up the Battle Pass, this was certainly a great way to compensate players who were wrongly banned, as it allows them to purchase the new seasonal pass alongside other cosmetic items.
