Getting free cosmetics in Fortnite is a dream for every player. Unfortunately, most of the cosmetics are sold in the Item Shop and require V-Bucks. Interestingly, Epic Games gives them out for free every season. These free items can usually be obtained by participating in an event or completing a limited-time questline. However, the game developer also gives free items to players affected by shop glitches.
Over the past few days, Epic has sent out a free glider to many Fortnite players. If you haven’t logged into the game yet to check, we’ll explain if you are eligible for it.
You may have received a free glider from Fortnite
Back on August 16, Epic Games brought back Dragon Ball cosmetics to Fortnite’s Item Shop. Besides separate items, Epic also released the Dragon Ball Gear bundle, which includes a variety of cosmetics. Unfortunately, the game developer made a mistake by showing the Nimbus glider in this bundle. The glider was not supposed to be shown in the image, which is why the bundle was removed from the shop.
A month later, the Fortnite creator decided to grant the Nimbus glider for free to all players affected by this glitch. If you purchased the bundle on August 16, then you should get an extra cosmetic item the next time you log in to Fortnite.
Players who mistakenly purchased the Dragon Ball Gear Bundle due to the error have been granted the missing Nimbus Cloud (Kintoun) Glider and a Return Ticket where applicable.
Epic Games
Epic has made several mistakes with Fortnite’s in-game shop over the past few weeks. However, the game developer has always sent out free items to affected players, which was a nice surprise. On top of this, some players received V-Bucks refunds and got to keep their cosmetic items.
