March is shaping up to be a fantastic month for Fortnite cosmetics. Epic Games will add super styles for Battle Pass skins in the first update of the new season, and more Mortal Kombat items should also arrive later in the month. On top of this, you will soon be able to unlock two more skins for free, along with a few more Fortnite cosmetics.
The release of these items is just around the corner, so let’s check what’s waiting for us!
Epic Games will make two Fortnite skins free in limited quantities
Each year, Epic holds a Lantern Fest event in Fortnite, bringing new cosmetics and Creative maps. The upcoming event will also bring a couple of free Fortnite skins you can unlock. More specifically, you will be able to unlock Anwar and Noorah skins. These cosmetics will come to the Item Shop on March 6, allowing you to purchase them with V-Bucks as well.
The two skins will be unlockable in the Lantern Fest Cup, which will take place on Saturday, March 8. This is a solo Battle Royale tournament, and you will need to finish it as one of the top-ranking players to unlock the skins. At the moment, the exact placement is unknown. However, the skins will likely be given to approximately 5,000 Fortnite players worldwide.
In addition to the free skins, you will also be able to unlock the Lunar Lantern and Moonlit Blades back blings. One of these rewards may be given to everyone who earns 40 points in the cup, but we will have to wait for the official confirmation from Epic Games. Finally, the game creator clarified that Cabinet Accounts will not be eligible to participate in the upcoming cup.
