Over the past seven years, Epic Games has released hundreds of free cosmetics in Fortnite. These cosmetics include dozens of skins, pickaxes, gliders, and other items. Despite having a free-to-play game, Epic Games is quite generous with free items, and this likely won’t change anytime soon. After the latest update, Fortnite leakers found another free skin that should be released within a few weeks.
In this article, we will take a detailed look at the upcoming skin and how you can unlock it. While the release date of the skin hasn’t been revealed yet, it’ll likely come out by the end of the current Fortnite season, which is set for early November.
Felina is a new free skin in Fortnite
Shortly after the v31.20 update came out, Fortnite leakers revealed the Felina skin. At first, they believed that this was a new Ranked skin that would be obtained by playing the competitive mode. However, it appears that the skin will be free. More specifically, you will be able to obtain the new skin by increasing your Account Level.
You can increase your Account Level by simply earning XP. You level it the same way you level up the Battle Pass, but the difference is that the level of your account carries over to the next season. Due to this, the Felina skin will most likely be obtainable in both Season 4 and the next OG season.
The free skin will come with its matching pickaxe that you will also be able to unlock. Here are the requirements:
