Fortnite fans are buzzing over a new hint that could mean total destruction is on the horizon. It seems that Epic Games has big plans for the end of the current season, and it could bring the most explosive event in Fortnite history! The developer hinted at the event with the release of a new season, and it appears that Skillet, a new character, will play a major role in it.
With the season ending in early May, Epic will likely release this event in late April. Until then, we will most likely get more teasers and leaks.
The next Fortnite event might have a massive explosion
Fortnite loves a good destruction event. We’ve seen meteors, black holes, and floods reshape the game world in the past. In fact, just last chapter, we had a massive sandstorm which introduced us to the third season. Epic will likely follow suit and have another map-changing disaster in the final weeks of the current season.
If you visit Skillet’s shop north of Crime City, you will discover his plans to make a nuke. Considering the nature of this character, this is not surprising at all. There is no denying that Skillet is obsessed with blowing things up, but his intentions are currently unknown. Since we are still early in Season 2, we may soon get more information about him.
Having a large part of the Fortnite island annihilated by a nuke would be a fantastic season-ending event. After all, Epic Games releases massive changes for the map in every season, and this would be a great way to introduce them.
The next Fortnite update will come out on March 11 and may contain more hints and teasers for the upcoming event. We’ll have to keep an eye on Skillet and his place to see if he’s up to no good!
