The future of Fortnite is very bright, we have no doubt about it. Epic Games just revealed many fantastic things coming to the game at GDC. Many of these additions will come this year, while the game developer will save some of them for 2025. Either way, Fortnite players are in for a treat, especially those who want new features and constant changes.

In late 2023, Epic revealed that the OG map would return once again. However, the company also revealed a plan to ship new Fortnite seasons in UEFN by the end of 2025, which has the potential to be the biggest feature of all time. Furthermore, Epic brought up the first-person mode, new collaborations, and the iOS version of the game.

The future of Fortnite is exciting

On Wednesday, Epic Games revealed an astonishing plan for the future of Fortnite. The videogame developer finally broke the silence regarding the first-person mode, which was leaked nearly two years ago. Fortunately for players, this feature wasn’t scrapped and will come to Fortnite Creative in 2024. However, Epic did not reveal when or if the first-person person mode will come to Fortnite Battle Royale.

The Battle Royale mode will, however, get big changes. Epic plans to ship the first Fortnite season in UEFN by the end of 2025, which is very exciting. In terms of development, this is fantastic for the community, as it likely means that players will have access to all maps available in Fortnite.

It’s time for Fortnite development to move to UEFN and Verse. By the end of 2025, we will ship our first season of Battle Royale developed entirely in UEFN.

UEFN will also receive LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fall Guys elements. In fact, you can create your own LEGO Fortnite and Rocket Racing maps starting today. The best thing? You can also make money from your maps! Epic will add Fall Guys assets and animations in May, allowing you to create your own courses and challenges.

Besides all of these additions, UEFN will get even more content, including a new itemization system that allows you to build your custom weapons. Physics sandbox gameplay is also coming, along with a new Scene Graph system. Finally, Epic will add more personalized rows in Discover to increase the amount of recommended UEFN maps.

If you are a mobile player who currently can’t play Fortnite, Epic has even more good news! The Epic Games Store will launch on iOS and Android later this year, allowing you to download the game straight from Epic’s digital marketplace.
