New Fortnite item is so powerful that it disconnects players from the game

The latest Fortnite update brought a lot of new content, from Battle Pass super styles to new items. Doctor Doom, the iconic Marvel villain, plays a huge role in the update, as his new Mythic item was added to the game. This is one of the rarest items ever releases, but if you get your hands on it, you are almost guaranteed to win.

Mythic items are supposed to be powerful, but the new one can literally disconnect you from the game!

The new Fortnite Mythic sends you back to the lobby

Doctor Doom’s Mythic item has a five percent spawn chance, making it extremely rare. If you pick it up, you will turn into an unstoppable force with an increased HP pool, siphon, and new abilities. On top of this, it turns out that you’ll be able to send your enemies back to the lobby. This is what happened to Reddit user birdo-, who shared a clip of this ugly heartbreaking defeat.

The clip shows birdo- using a burst rifle to fight against Doctor Doom. They hit a few shots, but the villain ends up hitting them with the beam for a quick elimination. Interestingly, the Reddit user was sent back to the lobby immediately after being beamed by Doom!

As the clip above shows, Doctor Doom’s Mythic item was so powerful that it disconnected the enemy player. While the timing might be a coincidence, there is a chance that Epic made the new Fortnite ability so powerful that it causes players to disconnect. Considering that the Mythic item has only been out for 24 hours, we’ll have to wait to see if this will happen more frequently.

For now, keep an eye on the new Loot Island. If you see Doom’s Isle spawn mid-game, make sure to get to it quickly and grab the Mythic power. Once you do so, you might get lucky and send a few of your enemies back to the lobby!
