The addition of the Isle of Doom is one of the most amazing things about this Fortnite season. Epic Games added the isle with the v31.10 update, allowing players to use the strongest Mythic item in the history of the game. However, the spawn chance of the island is only five percent, which is very low. Due to this, many players haven’t been able to visit it.
The spawn rate of the island was increased to 12 percent over the last weekend. However, Epic reverted it to its old rate, but that may not last too long. According to the game developer, the spawn chance has been temporarily reduced, so we’re expecting another big change.
The upcoming change will drastically change Fortnite
Using Doctor Doom’s Mythic ability is a dream come true for Fortnite players. Not only is this ability extremely rare, but it’s also limited. Epic will remove it from the game in October, so many players are trying to get their hands on it before it expires. Fortunately, this will be much easier after Epic buffs its spawn rate.
At the moment, the spawn rate is five percent. However, the Fortnite creator hinted that it will be increased soon.

You can only get the new Mythic ability if you visit the Isle of Doom. Once its spawn rate increases, we expect a lot more intense action in the end game. After all, the Mythic ability grants 500 HP, as well as 500 Shield, so beating Doctor Doom is a challenging task.
We currently don’t know what the new spawn rate will be, but we expect it to be around 10 percent. Furthermore, the release date of this change hasn’t been revealed yet, but with the next Fortnite update coming in mid-September, it should be around the corner.
