Fortnite players have a lot of new content to look forward to by the end of the year. The next season is scheduled to come out in just three weeks, while another OG season will come right after it. To conclude the year, Epic Games will release Chapter 6, scheduled for December 2024. While all of this sounds great, the game developer could face huge development delays due to a recent industry-wide strike.

Fortnite’s roadmap for 2024 shows many fantastic things coming by the end of the year, but unfortunately, we may wait longer for all of them to come out. It’s unlikely that the strike will affect the release of Chapter 5 Season 4. However, OG Season and Chapter 6 could certainly be affected by it.

Future Fortnite seasons might be postponed

Video game performers began another strike on Friday, citing concerns over artificial intelligence. The last similar strike occurred in October 2016 and lasted for almost a year, affecting the development of several titles. Unfortunately, that will likely be the case this time as well. Many titles that are in development will be affected, and Fortnite Chapter 6 is one of them.

Epic is known for planning future content ahead, so there is a chance that the next chapter won’t be affected by the strike. However, even if this is the case, we expect early Chapter 6 seasons to be postponed.

Fortnite has relied on voice actors and other performers over the past few years, adding new storylines and quests with voiceovers. Due to this, Epic Games may face some issues with the development of future seasons. On top of this, the leaked roadmap shows another live event coming at the end of the current chapter, which is another thing that could be affected by the strike.

Chapter 6 is still a few months away, as it’s supposed to come out in early December 2024. Despite this, Fortnite leakers have already shown new mechanics for the next chapter. On top of this, we expect a new map, unique items, and more game-changing features.
