The Delulu mode is returning to Fortnite this Friday, and it brings more changes! Epic Games makes modifications to this mode every week, and this one will be no exception. This time, the game developer will enable custom matchmaking for everyone, not just Fortnite creators! This fantastic change will make the game mode even more amazing by allowing players to fully control matchmaking.
Not only will the custom matchmaking be active for everyone this week, but Epic will also enable Supercharged XP. Furthermore, the guns have returned to Delulu!
Fortnite’s Delulu Mode Gets Custom Matchmaking for Everyone
Custom matchmaking allows Fortnite players to control who they want to play with. Delulu can be played with up to 80 players, and if they all enter the same code, they will be put in the same lobby. In the past, only Fortnite creators were able to use this type of matchmaking. However, that is not the case anymore, at least not in this Delulu session.
To have a large group of players join your lobby, simply select Delulu mode, then scroll down to find Custom Key. Enter your code and ready up, then share it with other players. Once everyone is ready, press the Start Match button, and you’ll enter your custom lobby! If you want to explore the map, you can simply get into the match on your own.
It’s important to note that you won’t be able to earn XP or complete quests in custom lobbies. While you will receive quest and XP progress, it will be nulled at the end of the match, and you will not receive any levels from it.
This will be the last full Delulu session on the Chapter 6 island, so have fun! Before the season ends, make sure to also unlock all the free skins in Fortnite, as two of them will expire with the release of the Simpsons mini-season.
