The Fortnite map was updated for the release of Chapter 5 Season 3! The new season arrived on Friday morning and brought a lot of new content. From a new Battle Pass to new items and features, players are in for a treat. Furthermore, many locations on the in-game island have also been updated, and you will be able to visit them until the season ends.
In this article, we will take a quick look at a new map in the Battle Royale mode. Once again, Epic changed one big part of the island, while also making smaller changes in almost every other location.
The new Fortnite map brings great new locations
Before Fortnite Season 3 even dropped, Epic teased some map changes. The game developer revealed a couple of new locations through teasers, including Nitrodrome, while also hinting at the removal of the old spots. The new season brought many changes to the southern part of the island, replacing a couple of older locations and adding new ones.
These are the new POIs on the Fortnite map, all located in the south:
- Redline Rig
- Nitrodome
- Sandy Steppes
- Brutal Beachhead
These new spots will also have new bosses, so you will find The Machinist at Redline Rig, while Ringmaster Scarr is located at Nitrodome. You can also defeat Megalo Don and get his Mythic Nitro Fists!
In addition to these new locations, the Fortnite island has also gone through smaller changes in other parts of it. Considering that the new season will likely get at least three or four major updates, we expect even more map changes to come out over the next 10 weeks. According to leaks, the season will likely end around August 16.
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 has brought a lot of other content, from new Medallions to a new Battle Pass. Furthermore, you will be able to equip different attachments to your vehicles in a new season while wearing the Fallout Power Armor!
