Epic Games did not release the Halloween update in Fortnite on Friday. Instead, the game developer postponed it for Saturday, disappointing many members of the community. Fortunately, the hype is still high, especially after new leaks. These leaks show a lot of new things that are coming during Fortnitemares 2024, including a new weapon.

Chainsaw is coming with the next Fortnite update
Shortly after Epic released the v31.30 update, Fortnite leakers found a promo image for the Halloween event. The image shows a couple of skins and items that will be available during this period. One of these skins is Leatherface, who is using a Chainsaw. At the time, many players believed that the chainsaw would just be a new pickaxe. However, this doesn’t seem to be the case.
According to the leaked Fortnitemares 2024 trailer, Chainsaw will be a new Fortnite weapon. This information was also leaked by a few reputable leakers, including iFireMonkey and Hypex. The video shows the upcoming weapon in action, and it looks fun to use!
At the moment, we don’t know the exact stats of the Chainsaw in Fortnite. The battle royale game currently doesn’t have many melee weapons, so adding this one is definitely the right move. Furthermore, it’s a perfect addition to the Fortnitemares event and will likely stay in the game until the end of the season.
Keep in mind that the Fortnitemares 2024 event was postponed. Originally, the event was supposed to come out on Friday at 4 AM Eastern Time. However, Epic Games postponed it for the weekend, as the update is now scheduled to be released on Saturday at 2 AM ET.
